I'm Jacqueline Mourot, Ed.D. and I’ve been there. As a wife and mother of five, I know how challenging it can be to juggle parenting and a demanding career while still wanting to create a meaningful, lasting impact at home. That very struggle is what inspired me to create The Business of Parenting (TBOP).​​​

For years, I often felt torn between work and family, constantly questioning if I was doing enough in either role. Then one day as I reflected on the work I do professionally in strategic planning, change management, and leadership, I had an aha moment: if the most successful businesses, whether big or small, all share some of the same foundational principles, why can’t we apply these principles to parenting? After all, our families are far more precious than any business.

That question sparked a journey of discovery—one where I combined my professional expertise with my love for my family to create a more intentional, focused approach to parenting. This blog is where I share what I’ve learned, offering insights and practical tools to help parents like you approach family life with the same clarity, purpose, and strategy that drive successful organizations. Because when we parent with intention, planning, and purpose, we set the stage for our families to truly thrive.​
